Our Programmes

SOS children's villages Kenya runs Education, Health, SOS Family Care, Family Strengthening, Advocacy and Youth Empowerment Programmes.

We currently take care of over 10,000 children and youth both in our villages and community programmes.

Alternative Care

We give children a loving home

When it is in the best interests of the child, suitable and agreed with the relevant authorities, we provide alternative care.

We support families to stay together

In line with the preamble of the UN Convention on the rights of the Child, SOS Children's Villages believes that the family is a "fundamental group of society and the natural environment for the growth and well-being of all its members particularly children".

Advocacy

We promote child rights

SOS Children's Villages in Kenya carries out advocacy efforts and engagements, especially with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection through high-level engagements with the Cabinet Secretary, the Principal Secretary, the various State Department Secretaries.

SOS children's Villages in Kenya promotes quality education for all school age-going children irrespective of gender, race or cultural background.

Health Care

We have 2 Medical Centres in Nairobi and Eldoret aimed at providing access to health services to both the children and youth under our care and the community at large.

Young people who have lost or are at risk of losing parental care often find the transition from school to starting a career particularly challenging
